Madras, Chennai, India for his thesis on aviation flight planning. He has 58 papers published in National /
international journals to his credit. His paper on Satellite Meteorology using
TOVS data for cyclone track forecasting was awarded prestigious bi-ennial Mausam
Award for the term 2002-2003. He introduced online aviation meteorological
briefing in India which has more than 2500 international users for which he was
awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Earth Sciences during 2007.
He delivered more than 100 lectures as plenary/invited/contributory in National
/ International symposia/workshops besides taking classes on Meteorology and
allied sciences for post graduate science & technology courses conducted by
various Universities and Colleges/ academic institutions, Civil / defence
training Centres. He served as Resource person for WMO Class I and II
